Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) is a program designed to teach basic civics and leadership skills.
"JROTC has overall taught me so much over the years. I would highly recommend this program to any students in high school who has access. The environment that comes with joining the class is something that I wouldn't change for the world. From personal experience, JROTC has opened up so many opportunities for me and has helped me develop in so many ways." - K'Naya
"Some benefits that I've gained from joining the program are character development, time management skills, confidence, my potential, physical and mental strength, accountability, community service skills, and much more." - K'Naya
JROTC had a CIA trip partnered with the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) to Triangle North Executive Airport. The selected cadets were able to join along with some very experienced retired Air Force pilots. While at a safe and appropriate altitude and environment, cadets were able to take control and to fly around locally for 30-40 minutes.
The Salvation Army invited out JROTC to recognize them for their hard work and cooperation.
Cadets went out to help clean up their community, afterwards went out to the lake and enjoyed the rest of their afternoon with food, games, and laughs.
The Color Guard is an extracurricular JROTC team responsible for presenting the flag in a variety of settings.
Drill Teams are marching teams that perform regulation and exhibition inspired routines.
The Saber Team is a marching team that performs routines based on military drill while armed with sabers. The Saber Team learns to execute a saber arch for events such as homecoming, awards ceremonies, military ball, and graduation.
